Painting with a Twist

The twist is with Wine. 

My friend Ashlee decided she wanted to celebrate her 30th birthday with a night with painting and wine. A bit hesitant as I don't have a artistic bone in my body I went.

Here we all are ready to go. And the picture above is what we are attempting to paint.

It was actually going much better than I thought. 

We even took a little break to take some pictures.

I did it!

We all did it!

It did end up being a bit easier than I thought. 

What a great way to have a girls night out.

Not so fast...

Shane called me last week to let me know that Jackson had his first loose tooth. 

My reaction..

NOOOO! This means he is no longer my baby. I did shed a tear or two. 

Anthony was almost 7 when he lost his first tooth. I just thought this is to early to be happening.

Well today I was able to pull out that tooth. He didn't even know it happened. 

Once he saw it was gone - "I look weird without it"

He is excited! He also knows he is growing up. 

All the hard work has paid off

 Anthony tested for his black belt today. What a journey it has been.

It's taken him a lot of hard work to do it.

Today he had to pass off.....

Once we received the news that he past they did a nice ceremony. 

Anthony started his flame from his instructors candle.

Then he got the belt.

Lastly we as parents got to pull the last knot in his belt. 

What an accomplishment! 

A black belt is a white belt that never gave up.

Ice Castles

The girls and I decided to take our families to the Ice Castles in Midway. 

They were so cool to see. And we went at the perfect time. 

As it has been warming up and things are melting quickly.

The kids really enjoyed it. 

The three of us even climbed through the ice tunnel to do the ice slide.

Must do again!

P!nk

These amazing friends and I have had tickets to see P!nk for almost a year. 

She canceled twice in October. And after months of waiting she finally showed up on Monday.

She truly puts on an amazing show. Here are a few shots. Don't let the photos fool your. We were in nose bleed city, I found these from others on Instragram. 

There were a couple songs she missed. But overall it was Awesome! 

Great night out with some pretty great friends.

Who's having a PARTY???

Jackson wanted to go swimming for his birthday. 

Bright idea: Swimming party for two!

While the kids enjoyed the water....

The big kids played in the arcade.

After some fund and games, it was time for pizza.

And cake..

Each one got their own cake to blow out candles, and cupcakes for everyone else.

Make a wish!

After cake, it was time for presents. We stuck each kid in front of their gifts and let them have it. 

Last gift to both of them from Mom and Dad was a trip on a 5 night cruise.

Both were thankful for everything they received, and for everyone coming.

I hate that they have to share a party, but I am happy I only have to do this once a year.
