Backstreet's Back... Alright

Back in April I heard Backstreet Boys were coming to concert. That made me super excited and after speaking to Crystal about it we decided to get tickets. Crystal was a trooper and got in line at 7 am (back in the day that's what we did) the day tickets went on sale to get good seats. She was hoping for floor seats like our very first Backstreet concert 10+ years ago. Didn't get them. But I have to say that our seat were not bad at all.
Backstreet Boys was my very first concert. I must say I own every cd. They have to be my all time favorite group.
On trax heading downtown. Super excited.
I don't think our seats were bad at all.
I love that they had to turn men's restroom into a woman's restroom.
Anticipation.. Waiting and Waiting for the concert to start. It said 730 on the ticket and didn't start till close to 9 pm. Made for a very long night.

I got some pretty good shots of the show.
Thanks girls for the fun night.
I totally love Backstreet and felt 15 again. Even if it was just for one night.

Zoo Visit

Finally had a good day of weather after a week of rain. Hopefully this will only be the first trip of the year to the zoo.
Ready to go. Wagon and all.

Mommy and Jackson at the giraffes..

Daddy and Anthony with the giraffes. Anthony also liked Shane's hat.

Taking a look at the baby elephant.

Getting any last wiggles out on the playground.

Here are a couple must watch videos from the zoo.
This video is pretty funny. The big elephant scared Jackson.

Here Anthony is telling us what is in the big pool of water.

We had a great family day at the zoo. Can't wait to do it again!

In a glaxy far far away....

Anthony is into the planets and the galaxy right now. We decided to take the day and go to the planetarium. He was able to watch Attack of the Space Pirates on the dome screen.
Anthony loved the whole day!
Looking for stars.
Showing daddy how it works.
Pointing out were we live on earth.
Showing mommy the rockets.
Standing under Saturn.
Visiting Mars.(Which was his favorite)
Jackson joining him.
Then over to the moon.
Shane asked Anthony if he wanted to be an Astronaut when he grows up. He told Shane no, he wanted to be an Astronaut when he is a kid.

New Bathroom

So about a month and a half go I had a brilliant idea. We kept having problems with the toilet overflowing and water leaking in the basement. I told Shane we need to pull up the floor and put a new one down. I thought it would be a day or two project. Boy was I wrong.
I wish I had pictures of the bathroom before. With it's blue walls and blue floors.
Once we started ripping up the floor. We found a ton of mold over under the floor and going up the wall.
Once we got to this point we decided to call Uncle Lance. He helped put in the bathroom downstairs and has down his own remodeling in his house. We thought we might need a little more experience than what we had.
After about a month it was starting to come together.
The original plan was just to re do the floor. Well a month and a half later we have a new floor, toilet, vanity, sink and medicine cabinet. I love the way my bathroom turned out!

Here is the finished bathroom.
TA DAH!

I think it looks amazing!
Now it is time to finish the basement.

Happy Mothers Day

Mothers day defiantly did not turn out as I had hoped. However Anthony did melt my heart.
The Friday before I came home to these beautiful flowers. Thanks to Joanie! I loved them!
Earlier in the week Anthony brought me home a plant he had planted along with a home made card. I hadn't seen the gift yet and on the way to the store he told me
A: Happy Mothers Day
M: Awww thanks but it's not Mothers day.
A: why not?
I had this conversation everyday leading up to Mothers Day. However it melted my heart that we made me my first gift. What more could a mom ask for.
I think I finally killed it. I tried so hard to keep it alive. I am no good at it.
Hence why I don't have a garden in my yard.
Now the actual day of Mothers Day did not turn out so great. I woke up sick and was sick the entire day. We didn't didn't see either of our moms.
However I do want to say to my mom. Thank you for all you have done for me and everything you continue to do for me. You are an amazing mom!
I hope all the moms out there had an amazing Mothers day!
