What an amazing kid!

Anthony was required to submit an entry for the Reflections project at school this year.

This years theme was Dream, Believe, Inspire.

I thought photography would be the easiest thing for him to do. He was determined to do something with video.

We came up with the idea of doing something about becoming a black belt.  Him and Shane worked on the video while I was away. (see the final video here)

We received the call on Sunday night that Anthony won!
We went to the assembly yesterday. Gave him a card letting him know what a great kid he is, and $10. Then out to ice cream last night.

So proud of him!

One Project Down...

A million more to go..

I decided to complete the backyard this year.
This was our before.
During...
Almost there..
TA-DA!

We had a sprinkler system laid, sod, and built a deck to go along with the shed that was built last year. To bad we finished just in time for the bad weather.

Of course a couple weeks after we laid the sod, we had a visitor. Brand new sod and I have 3 different holes in the grass. GRRR. Good thing grass can grow back.

Guess we will have to enjoy it next year.

Halloween

Since I didn't get home from my girls trip till 3 days before Halloween, we had a lot to do on Halloween. Both kids had early days, and instead of dealing with the mess of craving pumpkins. We painted them!

This really seemed to work out nicely.

Kids seemed to enjoy it.

Ta-Da!
It seems to be getting more and more difficult to have the boys be in one picture and have them both looking at the camera smiling. I found this to be much easier. Individual pictures, mashed into one picture. This year is the first year in I don't know how long that we didn't have Star Wars characters. We had Luigi and Link.

Anthony hadn't been feeling good leading up to Halloween. After about a dozen houses he decided he wanted to go back and lay down. After about an hour he did manage to finish out the night with Jackson and Jordan.

Look we weren't the only ones to paint pumpkins.

The final loot. This is only Anthony's and Jackson's. Most of it being Jackson since Anthony sat out.
Holy Cow!

I do have to say this was the perfect age to take trick or treaters out. Jackson was running from house to house. We were able to move quickly through the neighborhood.
